Terms for artists
Who sells
You are the seller of your pieces. Quenby runs the shop: it shows your pieces, arranges the buyer's payment and passes your part of it on to you. Quenby is not the seller of your pieces and does not own, store or send them.
Your pieces
You offer only work that is yours to sell. You describe each piece truthfully and show it as it is: what it is made of, its size, its condition, and anything else a buyer would want to know before paying.
Your page
Nothing about you is published until you have seen it and agreed to it. You can ask for anything on your page to be changed or removed at any time.
Price and delivery
You set the price of each piece. The price includes delivery to any address in the European Union, and Quenby takes orders for the European Union only.
You pack the piece and send it within 5 working days of the order, with tracking. You tell Quenby the carrier and the tracking number, so that the buyer can follow the parcel and the day it arrives is on record.
Returns
A buyer may send a piece back within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. You take it back. The buyer pays the return post, unless the piece arrived faulty or was not what they ordered: then you pay it.
When a piece comes back, the buyer is refunded in full and you are not paid for that sale.
Getting paid
Quenby keeps 10% of the price of each piece sold. The other 90% is yours.
Buyers pay by card. The payment is taken and held by Stripe, a licensed payment company. Quenby does not hold it. Your part is sent to your bank account 14 days after the buyer receives the piece.
To be paid you set up "Getting paid" in your dashboard, once. There you give your identity and bank details to Stripe and accept Stripe's own agreement. Quenby never sees or stores those details. A piece of yours can be sold once this is done.
After you are paid
Once you are paid, the piece is your responsibility towards the buyer, including any guarantee the law gives them. If a buyer writes to Quenby about a piece after that, Quenby passes the message on to you and steps back.
If a payment is taken back
If a payment is taken back after you were paid, by the buyer's bank or because of a fault in the piece, you owe that amount back. Quenby may take it from your later sales.
Nothing exclusive
You may sell the same work anywhere else.
Leaving
You can leave at any time: write to us at orders@quenby.eu. Your page and your pieces come down within 7 days. Money held for you is paid to you, or refunded to the buyer, first.
Your taxes
Your taxes are yours. You declare what you earn from your sales.
If these terms change
When these terms change, you are asked to read and accept them again in your dashboard. Until you have, no further piece of yours is added to the shop.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal.
